1. Scot Miller: Admiting I'm not marginalized, the blessings of dual membership

Scot of Sandhill CSA blog posted on QuakerQuaker:

I felt like I was on the margins of both groups of Friends, but now that I think of it, I may have the best of the spiritual world at my fingertips. Perhaps God has brought me to a space in the middle because I can learn valuable spiritual truths from both groups.

  2. Sustaining the purpose for which we were peculiarly raised up

A new post over on my more serious QuakerRanter blog.

  3. "Quaker minister do not spring from music and folk-dancing. There is still a need of taking up the cross — “No Cross, No Crown."

Kenneth S. P. Morse near the end of “A History of Conservative Friends” (1926, p. 62-3).

  9. Photo Outreach?: Phil H of Crossroads Friends Worship Group taking the official group photo. I was in this shot but had to get out my own camera when I saw what was happening behind Phil: a tourist couple stopped at the site of all of the Friends in front of the meetinghouse. Chip Thomas reacted quickly and went over to invite them in. To our surprise they accepted and spent half an hour with us. A few minutes later another couple stopped, was invited, and visited!
